I would like to inform every one that our three day and two night mahout training course and two night and one night mahout training course is fully booked during November and December due to popular demands of the tourists, please send us the email to find out the availability of the one day mahout training course instead. Our three day course and two day course limits only ten tourists as maximum, I wish every one will book their training course in advance.

Just added some photo of Ai before leaving the camp to Chiang Mai to visit the IT Fair at Chiang Mai University. To keep this website up to date so I just pick the photos of Ai showing that he is little tusker.

Now Ai is about one years and seven month, so he has other one years and three months to be with his step mother and then he has to be at the elephant training school to be trained as great elephant.

Jay is riding on Prachaub and I put the hat on his elephant..

Left Prathida in the forest yesterday with beautiful surrounding nature. Then she just rushed to the water nearby.

Just grabbed some photo of the tourists who just visited the camp a couple day ago, they are from Bangkok and seems they had great time for day visit.

The vet is treating the wound of Krung Sri who stepped on Landmine since 1998. The wound  from the landmine has to be cleaned every single day.





Krung Sri is one of my fav elephant at the hospital as she is very tame and good maner, to treat her is very easy. the mahout only command Krung Sri to lift her left higher so that the vet can see and clean the wound. We do not need to put her to sleep or calm by chemical substance.

Took this picture yesterday while Prachaub and Prathida were kissing each other, I think this is one of the way of elephant in communication. But I do not know what it means, Prachaub and Prathida is very closed friend. They might talk to each other about food haaaaaaaaaaa.

Just came back from the forest to collect the elephants with our tourists in three day mahout training course and then went to the elephant hospital to pick the scoot and met the mahout of Pumpaung brought his elephants for morning bath..

Since we started the course for them I always see Laura's grin while she is riding on her favorite elephant Jojo. I just took this picture about a hour ago while we were taking the elephant for the first on the way back to the camp..

This morning while we are walking to pick up the elephants from the hill, it seems the rain is going to start very soon.. Actually the rain was supposed to stop now and the cool season is about to start..

On this photo Swang is trying to push his tourist to get on Jojo.. Jojo is great elephant, there are so many female tourists fall in love on Jojo as he is very gentle and sweet..

I just add their video on the website as I am too tired from being non-stop working at the camp as coordinator and my hobby as Photographer during the course. But anyway there are also other lovely tourists who also participated in the three day course Mellisa, Tim, Marion and Deborah..

They are one of greatest people in our training course.

Are there any body remember how important today is????????????????????? For staffs who work at Thai Elephant Conservation Center today is one of our most important day is the Birth day of Prathida... I think some of you are so busy  busy and busy, but it 's good to remind you when you are visiting the website and enjoy it...

Now Prathida she turns completely fifteenth years old on October 24 2008, It seems the time is passed by very quickly and I just say happy birthday to Prathida recently and I still remember it as there are so many people day happy birthday to Prathida. Now I realize that I have to grab the best time with elephants at Thai Elephant Conservation Center as much as possible as we do not know what happen in the future right????

This morning I gave Prathida big banana as birthday gift, I am not really sure that Prathida can eat cake :P. Especially before giving bananas to Prathida, our tourists who participating in our mahout training course together sing " Happy birthday song " for Pratida too.

Prathida is the latest baby elephant of Pang Yom, the greatest mother of elephant even on this earth as Pang Yom she used to have more than six babies in her life. Normally one mother can give about 3 upto 6 babies elephant in their life. I am sure that Prathida will be the same as her mother as great mother to reproduce more number of elephants on this earth so that our new generation could see the elephants in the future.

I wish to share this memory with every one around the world.. I wish you happiness and successes.

Movie of Prathida's birthday is adding and finished soon..

First of all I would like to give big thank for Tina from Australia who has been visiting the camp and participate in our mahout training course about a month ago, Tina shown me the article on news paper published in Australia about Thai Elephant Conservation Center.

Tina left the camp more than a month ago, but I still remember the great time together with us and Jojo so I can not stand to show and share every one can read that article named " Jojo is mojo" and Jojo deserved that name.

I am So excited to work and meet new people in the mahout training course in a couple hours then wake up about five very early morning and add some video of vimeo and writing some things about our tourists who left the camp yesterday.

Thank Scott who brought six friends to join our mahout training course during 20-21 of October and other tourists in three day mahout training course during 19-21 Alison with her sons and Tobias and his girl friend.

Scott has been visiting the camp about five years ago and he loves it and then he took his friends to participate in our mahout training course and left the camp yesterday afternoon.

Just finished adding this lovely video of Prathida while she was trying to scratch her bottom against the stone around the bathing area, and there were  so many tourists laughing at her. John the mahout of Prathida is very funny and cheeky, he just wanted to play with his elephant and the tourist around and seems Prathida loves the way that her mahout behaves to her..

Let see what happen in the video, I wish it will make very one laughs and happy..

Now Prathida is more than six or seven month pregnant as her belly becomes bigger and bigger and also she always walks slower and eat more foods. So I can not stand to buy her more banana every day.

Yesterday while we were taking the elephant back to the forest and I walked behind Prathida and then I just leaned against the fence and then the fence was broken and I just fall off, suddenly Prathida she just turn to look and find what happen to me, after that she just sniff on my legs and talking. John said Prathida is trying to find what happen so that she can protect me. This is about Prathida that she loves the people who loves her and always give her food so she can recognize the people very well.

Let between Prathaida and Prachaub stand next to each other, one is pregnant and one is fat, because of food.

I shot this video yesterday while TV crews were making film of elephant orchestra, this crews were from UK features this work of elephant orchestra at Thai Elephant  Conservation Center.

I really do not know when they are going to broadcast this documentary as I did not ask them when while I was rush to bring my tourists to visit the elephant hospital. I just have some shots of them while elephant are playing their instruments.

Just added some photos of the elephant in the morning while his mahout took his elephant for morning bath.

Kampang is the name of this elephant, he is really big tusker.

Personally I think it's very easy to work with Asian elephants in Thailand as it seems the elephants really love to be with their mahout to look after them. This mahout just tell his elephant to lay down so that the mahout can clean the dust and then the mahout just tell his elephant to stand still so that the mahout can rub and clean the tusk. I think in Some Zoo, it 's very dangerous to be with elephant like this.

After not to update the website for several day, I think there are many friends keep visiting the website every day and when my tourists left the camp yesterday, I had to take the bus to Chiang Mai and then just come back about twenty minutes ago.

So I just pick up some photo of lovely family from Switzerland when just left the three day mahout training course during 13-15 of October. This is one of loveliest family in our course as their daughter could not stop the tears before leaving..

Thank you very much Florrence, Peter and their lovely daughters Karan, Joy and other one which I can not remember her name as it's too difficult.

Just add other quick thanks for lovely people in our mahout training course during 10-12 of October, there are ten tourists in our course.

I was told by them that this is the highlight of their trip in Thailand, Peter always laughed and smile as he is extremely happy to be with Prachaub..

This morning I tried to take some photo of Prathida while she was walking around to squirt water to tourists. Actually it was not Prathida making our tourists soaking wet, it 's from John told his elephant to do it. Every one has great time with elephants here.

It's not tours, but this is the life of mahouts and elephants at Thai Elephant Conservation Center. This mahout training course is not regular tourist packages that you can buy or book easily, the tourists have to make reservation in advance or several months before as now our course during October and November is nearly fully booked.

I wish to meet every one soon and I really wish that you will love the photos that I took.

Just add quick thank for Anna came along from Australia specially here for her elephant "Prathida" Anna has been visiting the Thai Elephant Conservation Center over 4 times and will back again around December.

So now I think the camp is occupied by Australia tourists as every trip we all have them in the mahout training course.. Or I think Thailand is their travel destination either Thailand is very nearly to their country..

Anna told me that around November or December next year if Prathida gives birth of her friend baby she will definitely fry from Australia as soon as possible. I do not know how much Anna loves Prathida as we really love her too. It seems Prathida eats more foods than the past and walk slowly and carefully.

This video took me about one night to upload on vimeo server, it does not means I have to stand by and wait till successfully uploaded. I just let my computer worked through the night and when I wake up every things was done.

This video included Anna, Cheryl, Ella, Macy, Babara, Richard and Patricia. I do not have time to edit or cut some part of video and my computer was so slow. I need to re install new application soon before new camcorder available.

Sometimes it's very difficult to say how much the tourists love the Thai Elephant Conservation Center as we do not any measurement tool to show the popularity of elephants.

Like Anna she has been visiting her elephant " Prathida" over 4 times so far and she will definitely keep coming back here to visit her grand daughter ( Prathida's first baby) as now Prathida is confirmed by the vet that she is 100 % pregnant a couple day ago. So properly Prathida will give her first baby around November as earliest.. I am so excited to see the new born baby elephant of the most popular elephant.

One more excited things is I am going to purchase High Definition video in a couple week so I can keep updating the story of elephants at Thai Elephant Conservation Center every single day.. I wish you guys love what I am doing here..

Just want to add quick thank for lovely family in two day mahout training course, Pat and Richard with their lovely daughter Ella, Macy and their lovely grandmother Babara.

I was told by some one who had been at the camp before that having family or getting Marry is not easy as you will spend a lot of time with them and it seems true to me. But after having this family in the mahout training course, I found that having lovely family they will make you happy. I completely envy Richard and Pat who have lovely daughter. they are not like regular naughty Thai children. Every one at the camp as well as mahouts at the showground all said they are very lovely children. I try to say to Pat to leave one of their daughter here haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

This trip to Thailand Pat told me they just told their daughter about a week before leaving home to surprise their children. I wish this mahout training course will be their highlight of trip in Asia or Thailand.

I wish when every one see the photos of this website will be back to the camp in the future or bring their family to participate in the course for their excellent experience.

Today is second day of them in our two day mahout training course during 8-9 of October!! Patricia Ringers, Barbara Ringers, Richard Iams, Macy Iams and Ella Iams from United State. They are one of loveliest family in our mahout training course.

In the past we had a lot of lovely family in our course too, those had wonderful time with elephants here.

I think our three day course and two day course suit to every one as we have proper size of elephant for them like small kids, we have small elephant for them to learn and ride and big adult we also have active and big elephant for them.

Now it seems our mahout training course during October and November is nearly fully booked and there are a few spot left in December in upcoming high season.. If any body want to experience about elephant and own them for three day, please submit the inquiry form and then I will confirm the availability of the course within one hour.

Hi every one I just came back from Chiang Mai yesterday after three day off and away from the camp. Spending three day and two night in Chiang Mai made me better after tiring works so far. Then today we start the new group of six people..

I came from Chiang Mai with Sam of her forth time in the mahout training course. Sam has been joining and visiting the camp about 5 years ago with her family, but this time just Sam came along alone. I am so happy Sam comes back for her elephant..

Actually Sam was her in two day course last week with her friend Kelly and then she went to visit her cousin in Pattaya and she comes back to the camp yesterday and start the two day course and finish it tomorrow.

Sam was very home sick as she was away from her children and husband for three week so she miss them a lot. I wish her family back in Australia will take a look on this website and happy to see Sam..

Now I am trying to add photo of Sam and other tourists in the gallery.. Feel free to enjoy it.

Let see different photo of the mahout and his elephant in black and white. This photos were taken a couple day ago while I was waiting for the tourists and their elephants for afternoon bathing..

This mahout he is only 18 years old decided to work as mahout with his dad and older brother at the camp for several years ago. He refused of going to school and I saw this guys when he just was very tiny boy running around the camp, but now the time went by very quickly till this boy grows as adult and ride on elephant... It's pretty sad that I am getting older and older, but I am feeling like 18 like him. :)

It takes me more than three hours to upload video file to Vimeo sever and now it was done, I am so happy that now I can show the video of the tourists who participate in our mahout training course at the camp and I can not wait till I can purchase HD video camcorder and you can see high definition quality of video on net. But now I have to watch low quality of video, I wish you all will love it.

Now our course during October, November and December is nearly fully booked. I wish I can fillfull all tourists in the available date. Please send us the inquiry form and then I will inform you the availability of the course as soon as possible.

It was very cloudy and strong wind this morning as we were going into the forest to collect our elephants..

Today when Leif he left the camp as he did not want to ride on his elephant into the forest as Leif he has wound on his toenail from horse, so I decided to ride on Prachaub and take her into the forest with Nut the mahout of Prachaub. Today we went further than yesterday. The area there is so beautiful and higher, but Prachaub can stay there at night.

When we got there Prachaub is so happy to be there as she has a lot of green grasses to eat for a whole night, so let see how Prachaub like tomorrow.

When I went back from there I found my legs is abit shaking from riding on elephant and now I feel very tired from riding the elephant back to the forest this evening..

Just want to say Thank to one of our real friend and elephant lover Leif from Sweden in joining three day mahout training course during 1-3 of October.

Leif has been joining our three day mahout training course many time since the past and he falls in love with Prachaub and Nut. I am quite very happy to match Prachaub for Leif as the first time as Prachaub she is very good for every one especially Lief.

I just finished adding some video of Erin, Jan, Anna and Alex in our three day mahout training course during 28-30 of September. They are great people having great time with elephant here.
