You can either take the bus to Chiang Mai at the highway which the bus will pass properly every one hour (if you are lucky, you will wait only about 20 minutes as we do not know exactly the bus timetable and we are between Lampang and Chiang Mai.Or second option to get back to Chiang Mai by taking the taxi to Chiang Mai which is 1200 Baht or 500 Baht to Lampang. What time does the training course finish on the last day?
Our mahout training course is finished around 11:00 Am. and then you will have plenty of time to pack your luggages and take shower and then you can leave the camp...Where is the closest town?
Lampang is the closest town which is 33 Km and Chiang Mai is about 70 Km. away from Thai Elephant Conservation Center. So the tourists can stay one night in Lampang or Chiang Mai and then organize the transport to the camp. Lampang is very good place as it 's real non-tourist attraction, but there are so many things to see like old temples and nice people. The people in Lampang did not speak English very well, but they will try to communicate them the tourists and they are very friendly not like Chiang Mai most of the taxi driver can speak English. How to get to Thai Elephant Conservation Center?
